FYI

If you are reading this blog and you disagree with something I have written please comment.  That is what it is for. 

I started this blog hoping it would become a place where Texans can express their opinions about my political observations.  So no crying about what I write - if you disagree articulate why.  I do not censor.

I have had some people say that I am merely a lackey for Speaker Straus.  That is not true - I do like him and think he is a good Speaker (I don't know him personally).  Especially compared to some past Speakers.  I think there are some people who don't like the idea of a Jewish Speaker in Texas.  That is my personal opinion.  I have little proof of that theory but I do know that last session the Texas House of Represenatives passed some of the most conservative legislation in the history of the state and I think Joe Straus is getting a raw deal.  Having said that if he does something I don't agree with I will comment about it.

I do find it entertaining that Trey Fischer basically calls Speaker Straus a racist because of redistricting but cries like a little girl when I comment about conversations I have had with Members, seen emails from Trey to Members (that I was not suppose to see) and had discussions with people across the state about what is going on.  It occurs to me and others that I must have hit the bulls-eye to get such a reaction from Trey and David.  And the reason I  comment so much on the Speaker's race lately is because that is all that is going on right now.  Makes sense?

I am just a humble Texans who two years ago would have called myself part of the Tea Party.  But I think the Tea Party has been hijacked by special interest and they are being sold a bill of goods.  Politics is ultimately a personal thing for everyone; including Members, voters, special interest etc.  These are my personal observations. If you don't like them then don't read my blog or if you can't stop reading it but you think I got something wrong - comment about it and set me straight.
